Barcelona just lost. The crowd went silent. Somewhere across the world, millions of people felt it at exactly the same moment.
That’s the strange thing about following sport, news, life — you’re never really alone in the feeling. Somewhere out there, someone else stayed up too late watching the Lakers. Someone else refreshed the NZ Herald one too many times. Someone else has been quietly thinking about the housing market, about what’s happening in Myanmar, about whether Lydia Ko knows how many people were cheering for her.
We’re all carrying little pieces of the world around with us.
And most of the time, we carry them quietly. Not because there’s nothing to say — but because the moment never quite arrives. The right person isn’t there. Or they are there, but you sense they’ve already moved on. So you let it go. You scroll a little longer. You sleep on it.
Some things are better said out loud, to someone who’s simply there to listen.
No agenda. No advice unless you ask. Just a voice, and a little time, and the chance to say whatever’s been sitting with you.
